Premiere of the Film about Bigorski in Rome

Tomorrow, at the “Pontifical Institute for Oriental Studies” in Rome, the film “1000 Years Witness of the Light,” dedicated to the millennium of the Bigorski Monastery and directed by Ilija Iko Karov, will be shown.

The film “1000 Years Witness of the Light” had its gala premiere at the Macedonian National Theater in April 2022.

Tomorrow, February 14, 2023, by the initiative of the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to the Vatican, Mrs. Marija Efremova, and under the patronage of the Director of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups, Mr. Darijan Sotirovski, it will be projected at the Institute at the Holy See.

The purpose of this ceremonial projection is to highlight the beauty and wealth of Macedonian spiritual and cultural heritage, which has been continuously nurtured at the Bigorski Monastery for more than a thousand years.
