Dear all, Many of you, in one way or another, are already informed that a documentary film about the Bigorski Monastery was shot – a film that mostly pertains to the numerous faithful with whom, five times in a row, we celebrated Easter and Christmas. Now, at the end of this process that lasted a full five years, we want to gift this film primarily to you and, of course, not any less to all of you who are lovers of authorial documentary films. Realizing how much the monastery, the monks, the divine services, and above all, the spiritual guidance of the Bigorski Elder, Bishop Partenij, mean to you, after some reflection and in consultation with the Bigorski community, we unanimously decided that although we still have certain protocols due to the coronavirus, it will not prevent us from delivering the film titled “1000 Years Witness of the Light” to all of you, who have long been anticipating it. Perhaps we cannot hold a hundred premieres due to the current protocols, but we can with a clear conscience and without a trace of hesitation, forego all film festivals! Therefore, if not everyone can attend the premiere, then the premiere can come to everyone! In that context, on April 15, starting at 7:30 PM, “1000 Years Witness of the Light” will be available for you to follow on MTV, on our YouTube channel, and on the Facebook page of the film! Just for the record: by putting the film online, we, the authorial team, lose all rights to participate in film festivals. But that in no way gives us a feeling that we have lost something. On the contrary, all of you, together with the iconographers from Bigorski, are our greatest reward that we received through this film!
